Our story
We’re building a mithai house for the India we’re becoming.
Mithai has a place in so many of our happiest moments. We started Aditi Sweets because we wanted the experience of choosing it to feel just as special.

The occasion began before the box was opened.
Summer holidays at nani’s house, with cousins and handmade atta laddoo. A piece of kaju katli offered after dinner at a friend’s home. The modak you waited for every Ganesh Chaturthi.
At school, Independence Day meant a parade, a laddoo, and that one friend happily collecting everyone’s extras.
These are some of Aditi’s earliest memories of mithai. Each sweet brings back a person, a place, a particular kind of happiness.
Years later, one thing felt out of step: buying sweets could feel like an ordinary errand, even when the reason for buying them meant everything.
AS began with the wish to make that part special, too. The choosing. The conversation at the counter. The box you carry home.
A mother and daughter, with different kinds of experience.
Aditi’s background is in psychology, English literature and marketing. Her work across consumer brands and luxury hospitality deepened a fascination with how people choose, what they notice, and what stays with them.
Her mother, Preeti, brings experience from running restaurants in Pune. At AS, she looks after the daily workings of the house and the people who keep it moving.
Together, they bring an eye for the experience and an understanding of the work it takes to deliver it, every day.

Working on our Mysore pak took us to Mysuru—to taste, compare and better understand the sweet we wanted to make. Respect for a recipe begins with taking the time to know it.
